I’m a freelance photographer based in Portland, Oregon, available for creative client projects of any size anywhere.

Tim Trautmann's photography pushes beyond purely aesthetic considerations to document narrative significance — the spirited vignettes in daily life, the soul of an individual, and the distinct energy of a moment in time. Landscapes become social commentary, portraits reveal a character dimension, and commercial compositions deliver on artistic vision to connect with an audience. His photography experience is broad, stretching across finance, tech, health, apparel, and e-commerce sectors. Tim is fluent in German, English, and Portuguese and conversant in Spanish and French, making him a solid partner for international assignments. Originally from western Germany, Tim has lived in the United States for 30 years.

Tim takes a truly collaborative approach to any engagement - taking the time to understand nuance in artistic vision, medium, and mood, resulting in inspired image collections. Tim can partner in creative concepting and direction, location, and talent scouting as needed. His engagements include portraiture, editorial, advertising, and commercial photography.
